At Purple Lotus Web Design, I help coaches, therapists, and small businesses turn confusing websites into clear, story-driven designs that attract clients and build trust.
As a Squarespace Gold Partner, I specialize in creating websites that are not only beautiful but also easy to maintain—so you can spend less time wrestling with tech and more time growing your business.
MEET MINI SULUR - THE CREATIVE BEHIND PURPLE LOTUS
In a nutshell? I’m a wife, mom, dog lover, coffee enthusiast, and a proud Squarespace Gold Partner. When I’m not designing websites, you’ll usually find me on the pickleball court, chasing my dog around the yard, or coaching my clients through the “what should I charge?” or “how do I set this up?” questions that come with running a business.
I’m a Software Engineer turned Web Designer based in Boston, MA. My mission is simple: to help coaches, therapists, and small businesses achieve their goals with websites that are not just beautiful, but clear, functional, and built to last.
Using my Clarity + Heart design approach (inspired by StoryBrand), I focus on creating websites that maximize your online impact while minimizing the stress of branding, strategy, and tech headaches.
Whether you’re just starting out with a one-page site or ready to elevate into a custom multi-page design, I’ll guide you through a process that feels supportive, simple, and yes—even fun!
Because here’s the truth: you’re brilliantly unique, and your website should be too.
If you’re looking for a designer who combines strategy with story—and functionality with a little sparkle—you’re in the right place. Let’s create a website that helps your business grow with confidence.
Be Like The Lotus:
Trust In The Light, Grow Through The Dirt, Believe In New Beginnings
THE STORY BEHIND PURPLE LOTUS
I was born and raised in India, and moved to Arizona to pursue my Master’s degree in Computer Science. My career path has taken me many places—Applications Engineer in supply chain, Software Developer at a startup, Senior Bioinformatician at an Ivy League college, then a season as a stay-at-home mom while freelancing as a webmaster for a local non-profit.
It was during my time as a webmaster that I discovered my true passion: web design. Friends and clients loved my creative approach, and I quickly realized I had found the perfect way to blend my technical background with my love for design and storytelling. I started small—taking online design courses, launching websites for local businesses through word-of-mouth—and soon, Purple Lotus Web Design was born.
So, why Purple Lotus? In Indian culture, the lotus flower symbolizes strength, resilience, and new beginnings. No matter its surroundings, the lotus blooms beautifully—a metaphor I carry into every project. For me, it represents how I help clients find their own new beginnings online with websites that are clear, resilient, and uniquely theirs.
WORK ETHOS
By choosing to run my own business online, I have the freedom to develop and maintain a strong work ethic that aligns with my personal values and beliefs. This allows me to produce high-quality work, meet deadlines, and fulfill obligations, which in turn benefits both me and my clients.
What defines me
✨ Clarity First – Websites should make sense in seconds. Every project I take on is rooted in StoryBrand principles, making your message simple, clear, and client-friendly.
✨ Heart in Design – Your website is more than design—it’s your story. I pour care and intention into your site so it feels true to you and inviting to your clients.
✨ Function + Beauty – I don’t just design for looks. Every site I build is both beautiful and practical—easy to use, easy to update, and built to support your growth.
✨ True Partnership - I see myself as a guide, not just a designer. I help you think through the business side too.
What I avoid
✘ Quick, sloppy designs – I don’t believe in hustle work. Your website deserves time, care, and intention.
✘ Compromising on quality – I only take on a few projects at a time so each client gets my full attention.
✘ Trendy but impractical websites – Pretty is great, but not if it leaves you stuck with a site that’s hard to maintain.
✘ One-size-fits-all platforms – I’ll never force you into a system that doesn’t work for your business
