In a nutshell - I’m a wife, mom, dog lover, coffee addict and Squarespace web designer & developer.
I’m a Software Engineer turned Web Developer based in Boston, MA. My mission is to empower entrepreneurs and small businesses by helping them achieve their goals through timeless (not just pretty) brand and Squarespace website design. With my Simple + Significant design approach, I believe in maximizing their online impact while minimizing the stress associated with branding, business strategy, and website development.

I was born and raised in India and moved to Arizona to pursue my Master's degree. After graduation, my professional path took me through various jobs — Applications Engineer at a supply chain company, Software developer at a software startup, to a senior Bioinformatician at an Ivy league college, to being a stay-at-home mom and freelancing as a webmaster for local non-profit organization.
As a webmaster for the non-profit, I discovered my passion for web design. Friends and clients were impressed by my creative web design skills, and I began to take online courses to improve my front-end design skills. Soon, I started getting website design projects from local businesses through word-of-mouth. After several successful website launches, I decided to start my own web design business - Purple Lotus Web Design!
Why Purple Lotus? Because in Indian culture, the lotus flower symbolizes strength, resilience, and rebirth. A flawless flower that grows unscathed despite its surroundings—a metaphor that gives me endless source of design inspiration as I help clients find their new beginnings through my designs.

When I’m not coding or designing websites - Going for long walks with Rocco, burning off calories on my Peloton & power lifting, tennis, cooking (& eating!)
Favorite pastime - Crosswords & Watching crime thrillers on TV
If I wasn’t a developer - I’d be an architect or interior designer, or maybe both?
